PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents providing method, capable of easily constructing a Web server with small load. SOLUTION: This contents providing method for providing contents data to an internet terminal, by using a server computer comprises a classification specifying step for specifying the classification of the internet terminal which perform access; an item extracting step for extracting a contents item pertinent to the specified classification from among base contents data, described preliminarily with extension tags, capable of specifying items to be extracted according to the terminal classifications; a distribution contents data generating step for preparing contents data to be distributed, by using the contents item extracted by the item extracting step; and a distribution step for distributing the distribution contents data prepared by the distribution contents data generating step to the internet terminal.
