PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-oxidation structure of a high-intensity discharge lamp which can greatly shorten length of a lamp as compared with conventional ones. SOLUTION: Inner electrodes 7, 8 are inserted into an insulated part of occlusive bodies 5, 6 until they reach the conductive part, a niobium (Nb) or a tungsten (W) outer electrode 9 is inserted into the conductive part of the occlusive body 5, and its further outside is fitted to a reflector 20 through a socket 10, so that the tip of a sealed tube part 4 is sealed up in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, and in the sealed part, a molybdenum (Mo) foil 11 is sealed in, which is connected to the conductive part of the occlusive body 6 with a conductive material 12, and further, is connected to an outer electrode 13, to make electric conduction with the outside.
