<p>PURPOSE: A wastewater treatment plant with upflow anaerobic reactor for less sludge production is provided, which controls sludge overflow while smoothing discharge of supernatant by installing a barrier beneath the overflow weir, measures sludge concentration by installing sludge leveller in the reactor thus keeping the sludge concentration at high level, so that the size of the reactor may be diminished. CONSTITUTION: The upflow anaerobic reactor(100) comprises a conically bottomed water tank(110); a water influent device(120) set at the side bottom of the reactor(100) to receive wastewater; a water effluent device(130) set at the top as a weir to overflow surplus wastewater; a barrier(140) with a thickness of 5 to 20 % of the whole depth of the tank and set inclinedly by 30 to 70 degrees beneath the water effluent device(130) to prevent discharge of sludge. The reactor(100) is followed by an attached growth microorganism bio reactor to be used as a denitrification tank of the supernatant of the anaerobic reactor(100).</p> |
