PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficiently inputtable sentences on a pen input computer at a high speed. SOLUTION: This device has a liquid crystal display panel 8, a ROM 2 for storing a plurality of words and a plurality of sentence examples, a pressure sensitive tablet 9, an input pen 25 for performing an entry or the like onto a software keyboard displayed on the liquid crystal display panel 8, and a CPU 1 for retrieving candidate words to be displayed on the liquid crystal display panel 8 from the ROM 2 on the basis of entries from the pressure sensitive tablet 9 and the input pen 25 and a sentence is inputted by selecting desired words out of the candidate words displayed on the liquid crystal display panel 8 by the pressure sensitive tablet 9 and the input pen 25. At such a time, corresponding to a change in the key enter operating state of the software keyboard, the CPU 1 dynamically changes the candidate words to be displayed as well by dynamically changing retrieval conditions. |
