PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for improving operability for a user by registering a channel in a channel map in physical channel as a unit and erasing it from the channel map in the unit of sub-channel. SOLUTION: The receiver 1 registers the channel in physical channel unit when the channel is registered in the channel map 15 and erases the channel in sub-channel unit when it is erased. A general user tends to view most part of a plurality of sub-channels contained in one physical channel and not to view a part of the sub-channels for unfavorite broadcast programs. The user may erase the sub-channels for the unfavorite programs from the channel map. Thus burden and time for registering the channel to the channel map 15 is suppressed and also the user registers only the favorite channels in the channel map 15. |
