<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a voltage controller for a on-vehicle generator, which can control the generated energy of an on-vehicle generator by surely detecting the start of the vehicle in a self-completing way. SOLUTION: The voltage controller 4 is provided with a driving torque suppressing and discriminating means 19. The means 19 converts an AC voltage obtained from the armature winding 2 of the on-vehicle generator 1 into a voltage proportional to the rotational speed of the generator 1 by means of an FV conversion circuit 18 and discriminates the rotational speed of an internal combustion engine based on the voltage. When the rotational speed of the engine is continuously lower than prescribed for a prescribed period of time, the means 19 discriminates that the vehicle is in idling and, only when the rotational speed first exceeds the prescribe value from idling, the means 19 discriminates that the vehicle is starting. When the start is detected, the means 19 suppresses the driving torque of the generator 1 by lowering the generated energy of the generator 1 and, after a prescribed period of time elapses or when the drop in the revolution of the engine is detected, the means 19 stops the control on the generated energy.</p> |
