<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of channels set among external routers 200-203 accommodating a mobile terminal 300, in a management router (communications apparatus) 100 which manages the mobile terminal 300. SOLUTION: The management router 100 releases an already set older tunnel for preventing the total number of tunnels set among the routers 200-203 accommodating the mobile terminal 300 from exceeding, for example, a specified threshold set for each mobile terminal. When the total number of tunnels, set now for all the mobile terminals exceeds the specified threshold, the management router 100 rejects the setting of a new tunnel or releases an older tunnel and then sets a new tunnel. The mobile terminals are classified into a plurality of classes based on a plurality of threshold, and the setting of a new tunnel is rejected or a new tunnel is set, based on a threshold corresponding to the class, to which each mobile terminal belongs. The management router 100 determines the effective duration of the tunnels set between the router 200 and itself, based on the total number of tunnels now set for itself (being in use).</p> |
