PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket enabled to safely mount and dismount a lamp. SOLUTION: The lamp socket comprises a socket main body 1 having an opening 4, and a lamp pin insertion groove 5 ranging from the outside rim to the opening 4 at front side, a rotor 2, rotation freely located at the opening 4, forming a guiding groove 12 guiding lamp pins 11 inserted into the lamp pin insertion groove 5 at the front surface in the radial direction, and a conductive contact piece 3, mounted inside the socket main body 1, to which, the lamp pins 11 are made to contact by rotating the lamp pins 11 inserted into the guiding groove 12 together with the rotor 2. The guiding groove 12 has a narrow part 15, narrower than the outer diameter of the lamp pin 11, into which, the lamp pin 11 can be inserted.
