PURPOSE: A variable capacity heater device for air conditioner is provided to improve heating efficiency and to minimize electrical loss. CONSTITUTION: A heater device comprises a plurality of heaters(30) having heating capacity different from each other and fuses(51,52,53) connected thereto, respectively, to cut off current when over current is supplied so as to prevent overload and connected in parallel to generate heat; a power supply(50) supplying the heaters with electric current; A switch device(70) installed between the power supply and the heaters to control power supply; and a control part(80) generating control signal according to heating condition to turn on/off the switch device. |
