PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably and easily discriminate coded data such as music data recorded on a recording medium to determine which provider provides the data and provide new services for every provider for providing digital signals. SOLUTION: The method comprises a step S502 of calculating coding-free bits REM of an extra portion of each frame to detect the coding-free bits in a high efficiency coding and writing aimed additional information in the detected coding-free bits, a step S503 of determining, after adding additional information to one music data ends, whether additional information are added to the music data beyond a specified number of times (a specified value), and a step S506 of changing, if not added beyond the specified number of times, parameters for use in the coding and coding again at a high efficiency to add additional information. |
