IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and system that can obtain effective compression rate and image quality and can be suitable for analyzing a geographical feature of images, such as aerial photographs and satellite images. SOLUTION: The image processing method includes a 1st step of selecting a compression processing system suitable for purpose of use of a compressed image among a plurality of prepared compression processing systems and a 2nd step of compression the original image of the processing object by a compression processing algorithm of the selected compression processing system. Also the image processing method includes a 1st step of selecting a compression processing system suitable for purpose of use of a compressed image and a feature of the processing object image from among a plurality of prepared compression processing systems and a 2nd step of compressing an original image of the processing object by a compression processing algorithm of the selected compression processing system.
