<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellently water-resistant and moisture-resistant photovoltaic element minimizing the decline of performance even in outdoor exposure over a long period of time and especially to provide the structure of the photovoltaic element capable of improving reliability in outdoors even when an end face is not coated or the end face is coated with only an extremely thin resin layer. SOLUTION: In the photovoltaic element composed by laminating at least a back surface reflection layer, a semiconductor layer and a transparent electrode layer on a conductive substrate, an alloy region composed of an alloy containing at least a material included in the back surface reflection layer, the material included in the semiconductor layer and/or the material included in the transparent electrode layer is provided along the peripheral edge of a photoelectric conversion active region and the transparent electrode layer is electrically insulated from the alloy region.</p> |
