<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and high-quality transmission service, by switching a connection route which has been deteriorated in quality during telephone conversation to a high-quality connection route, selected from among a plurality of IP networks, in a method of controlling the switching of a connection route between media gateway equipment and to provide a call agent equipment. SOLUTION: In a voice and data integrated network where a subscriber's line accommodated in STM circuit switching equipment LS1 and LS2 is connected to an IP network via media gateways MG1 and MG2, the packet quality information about the real-time characteristic of an IP packet is collected and edited for each call, and the information on quality is notified to a call agent CA. The call agent CA renews the packet quality information for each connection route, based on the packet quality information received and sends, to the media gateways MG1 and MG2, an instruction to switch a call connection route which is deteriorated in quality level to a high-quality connection route.</p> |
