PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more improved data transmission method than a well- known conventional data transmission method in which the voltage of modulation signals is changed a few times in a single bit or determined by the meaning of bits. SOLUTION: In this method, the voltage of modulation signals is changed for each bit independently of the kind of the modulation. Therefore, data transmission is much increased in transmission rate in a case of amplitude-modulated carrier waves. Furthermore, in a case of a passive transponder, a data clock can be derived from the modulated carrier waves through a simple method in place of generation of an inner clock. Especially, in a case of using carrier waves in a microwave region, a transponder can be increased in communication range due to a reduction in power consumption.
