PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle automatic travel system which eliminates necessity of installing a guide line, etc., and providing a white line along a floor and a wall, etc., and by which changes of the transfer path of the vehicle such as an electric wheelchair is easily performed. SOLUTION: The vehicle automatic travel system is composed of a plurality of radio tags installed along a course from a start point to a destination and a vehicle such as an electric wheelchair. The radio tags transmit information regarding installing points to guide the vehicle. The vehicle such as the electric wheelchair performs information processing on the basis of the movement quantity of the vehicle, route information stored in a database, information of the radio tag arrangement, information to be obtained from the radio tags and detection information of an obstacle detection sensor, etc., and automatically travels to the destination along a prescribed course by evading collision with obstacles.
