PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of an organic EL display device by suppressing the heat deterioration. SOLUTION: In the organic EL display device X having a structure in which a cathode 2, an organic layer 3, and an anode 4 are laminated in this order on a substrate 11, the substrate 11 is formed of a silicon material, for example a single crystal silicon. Preferably, the anode 4 is made a transparent electrode and the transparent electrode is formed as a metal film layer having a thickness of 20 nm or less. The metal film layer is formed by, for example, aluminum so that the sheet resistance is 2.5Ωor less. And a heat radiator part 13 may be installed on the opposite side face 11b to the organic layer 3 side on the substrate 11.
