COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BETWEEN VEHICLES ON ROAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication system between vehicles, which can realize good communication equality by always assuring an optimum signal identification in the case of reutilizing a frequency. SOLUTION: The communication system between the vehicles executes a narrow-band communication which pass through a communication area on the road. The system comprises a calibration unit 6 for detecting the electric field level of a signal transmitted from a communication antenna 1 installed at a road side, and correcting the beam direction of the antenna 1 in response to the field level. The system further comprises a directional controller for regulating the beam center direction by electrically controlling an exciting amplitude phase of each antenna element for constituting the antenna 1 based on information from the calibration unit 6 or an antenna attitude controller for regulating the beam center direction by controlling the antenna 1 by a mechanical drive.
