PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a viewing program with less operations when the viewing program is selected from a program table. SOLUTION: A control part 9 constructs the program table based on electronic program guide information in response to the program table display indication of a user, displays it on a display 6, excludes a program belonging to a category which is the same as that to which an unnecessary program belongs when the unnecessary program is selected from the displayed program table, re-constructs the program table and displays it on the display 9. When the viewing program is selected from the program table, the control part 9 controls the front end part 2, the base band 3, the data separating part 4 and the voice/video decoding part 5 and receives the selected program.
