PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the influence of noise content by fitting a filter circuit to the output of the temperature sensor, even if noise content of the AC power supply and noise content generated instantaneously when voltage is impressed on the heater are imposed on the fixing heater. SOLUTION: In a heat generation device, in which a heat generation element and a temperature detection element are mounted on the same substrate and the temperature of the heat generation element is detected by the temperature detection element, a filter means which is connected to the output terminal of the above temperature detection element is mounted on the substrate on which the above heat generation element and the temperature detection element are mounted.
