PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for reproducing an optical disk are provided to detect reproducing signals of good quality when an optical disk having tracks changing the width is being reproduced. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reproducing an optical disk includes an optical classifying and detecting unit(10) detecting an optical beam(LB) reflected from an optical disk by classifying the optical beam by a center optical region(L1) and outer optical regions(L2,L3) in the direction opposite to the radial direction of the optical disk, thereby outputting a first detecting signal(s1) in regard to the center optical region and second detecting signals(s2,s3) in regard to at least one outer optical region; a signal processing part(20) adjusting the size of the first and/or the second detecting signal, detecting reproducing signals by differentiating the adjusted first and second detecting signals.
