PURPOSE: A front panel assembly of split type air conditioner is provided to improve structure of the front panel assembly to be more beautiful and to prevent infiltration of dust into an indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: A front panel assembly includes a panel body installed on a front side of an outer case; an intake penetrating hole part(33) formed to penetrate a center of the panel body for air in a space to be air-conditioned to be taken in therethrough; a filter installation part for installation of a filter(45) placed on the intake penetrating hole part; and a louver installation part on which a grill louver(42) selectively opening and closing the intake penetrating hole part.
