PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a force applying apparatus, a force applying method, a transfer apparatus, and method, which enable increase of power supply efficiency. SOLUTION: On both sides of a nonmagnetic material 10, AC electromagnets 20a, 20b are counterposed to each other. Repulsion force is applied to the nonmagnetic material 10, by supplying AC currents from a current controller 22 to the AC electromagnets 20a, 20b respectively. The frequency of each AC current is controlled by a frequency controller 54 so that the power supply efficiency becomes approximately maximum. |
