PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC card reader/writer which avoids the phenomenon such that the receiving voltage of an IC card decreases close to zero, after it has increased the higher than its operating voltage, so as to pre vent the IC card from malfunctioning when the IC card is made to approach a card reader. SOLUTION: An antenna coil L1 is formed as a loop around a point O1 as a center on the surface of the antenna pattern forming part 14A of a card reader 1, a center line A-A' is drawn, so that it passes through the point O1 on the antenna pattern forming part 14A, and a first pattern 18A of conductor is formed on the half of the antenna coil L1 along it opposite to its other half (demarcated with a line A-A'), located on the card insertion direction side. A second pattern 18B of conductor is formed on the other half of the antenna coil L1 along it, located on the card insertion direction side, and coming into contact with the first pattern 18A. Moreover, the second pattern 18B is extended to the end of the pattern forming part 14A in the card direction of insertion. |
