PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light-emitting diode device that has a high contrast ratio. SOLUTION: This is an organic light-emitting diode device that comprises (a) a transparent substrate, (b) a transparent anode layer that is provided on the substrate, (c) a hole transport layer that is provided on the anode layer, (d) a luminous layer that is provided on the hole transport layer, (e) an electron transport layer that is provided on the luminous layer, (f) a thin cathode layer that is provided on the electron transport layer and its thickness is chosen so that the light may pass the cathode, (g) an absorption layer that is provided on the cathode layer, (h) a dielectric spacer layer that is provided on the absorption layer, and (i) a conductive layer that is provided on the spacer layer and is electrically connected to the cathode so that the luminous layer may emit light and the emitted light may pass directly through the hole transport layer, the transparent anode and the substrate when voltage is impressed between the transparent anode and the cathode. |
