PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program and a method for transfer inquiry which can easily specify the payer (remittor) of money transferred from a financial institution without opening any extract account dedicated to transfer and even if notice of the completion of the transfer is not obtained from the payer. SOLUTION: The transfer inquiry program has a step where a transfer inquiry server issues inquiry information constituting the account name of an electronic mail address specifying an account opening person having opened an account at the financial institution and the information is displayed and a step where when there is an inquiry request specifying the payer of transferred money of the account opening person according to the inquiry information through a computer network, the transfer inquiry server outputs characteristic information regarding the payer corresponding to the inquiry information stored in a loan storage means provided while related to the recipient of the transfer money of the account opening person, and the transfer inquiry program specifies the payer of the money transferred from the financial institution through the computer network.
