PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the state of charging (SOC) of a battery. SOLUTION: The SOC of a battery 10 of a hybrid vehicle and the like is detected by a battery ECU 16. An ECU 18 drives a motor generator 14 to charge the battery 10, in such a way that the SOC reaches a control target value. The SOC of the battery 10 is controlled to a lower value as the battery temperature becomes higher so that constant output can be maintained, irrespective of the battery temperature. |
