<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor display device and a monitor display method that can minimize wasteful power consumption to the utmost and effectively utilize a power supply whose capacity is limited. SOLUTION: The monitor display device is provided with a CPU 16 that performs interruption processing corresponding to an interruption signal obtained at a DMA transfer end point of time when image data obtained by an image pickup section 11 and subjected to DMA transfer to a DMA area 14a of a memory 14 reach one frame, transfers the image data after the interruption processing from the DMA area 14a to a work area 14b, applies optional effect processing to the data, limits the DMA transfer of image data of a succeeding frame obtained by the image pickup section 11 to the DMA area 14a, accepts an interruption signal obtained at the end of integration of the image data of the succeeding frame instead and performs interruption processing.</p> |
