<p>The invention consists in providing the ends of the crossbars (5) of a piece of furniture, e.g. the crossbars of a chair, with rods or segments (6-6') that are threaded in opposite directions, i.e. one end of a crossbar is threaded to the right while the other end is threaded to the left. Moreover, the legs (1) and/or the back uprights (4) of the piece of furniture are provided with respective concealed, cylindrical and threaded openings (7) at the points corresponding to the points for fixing said crossbars (5), the thread of said openings being complementary to that of the rods (6-6'). In this way, each crossbar (5) is mounted by inserting the ends thereof in the complementary openings and turning said cross bar in the appropriate direction. Moreover, the cross bars (5) can also be fixed to the back uprights (4) by pushing the threaded rods into the openings or using a suitable amount of glue.</p> |
