The invention relates to an apparatus and method for incubating and re-isolating magnetic particles in and from biological dispersions. The aim of the invention is to provide an apparatus and method with which it is possible to magnetically label certain constituents of biological dispersions such as blood whereby enabling the undisturbed magnetic label and the quantitative removal of the labeled objects without the blood undergoing detrimental changes. To this end, the invention provides an apparatus for incubating and re-isolating magnetic particles in and from liquid biological dispersions for interacting with constituents of the dispersion and for re-isolating the magnetic particles. This apparatus is characterized by having a fractionating unit (10), a washing unit (20), a mixing unit (30), a second washing unit (40), a magnetic filter unit (50), a concentrator (60), a measuring device (70) and a control unit (80). |
