The invention relates to a method for producing a deep rolling roller (1) fo r a deep rolling tool for deep rolling radii or passes on the bearing and cran k pins of the crankshafts of automotive engines. The inventive method is characterized by the following steps: turning the body of the deep rolling roller (1) from tool steel, separating the turned deep rolling roller (1), roller-finishing the deep rolling roller (1) in the area (2) of its largest diameter, hardening the roller-finished deep rolling roller (1), and polishi ng the hardened deep rolling roller (1). |
