The invention relates to a camshaft (1) comprising a camshaft adjuster for varying the timing, said adjuster having a central shaft (2) mounted coaxially onto the camshaft (1). The invention also relates to a method for producing a camshaft (1) of this type. The production of a camshaft of this type (1) has previously been complex in comparison to the production of a camshaft (1) with rigid timing. The invention discloses a camshaft (1), in which the central shaft (2) of the camshaft adjuster is equipped with a coaxial bore (6). The invention also discloses a method for producing a camshaft (1) to achieve the inventive aim. The main advantage of the inventive camshaft (1) is the reduced volume of the component and the reduced production complexity.
