<p>A system and method for comparative expenditure reporting includes an apparatus including a database store containing a plurality of payment records for a plurality of customers and associated demographic data about those customers and their service providers. The method calculates average payments for customers for similar classes of services and provides comparison reports across the customers as sorted and selected by demographic keys. A reporting means to a particular customer is provided allowing customers to compare their expenditures to anonymous averages for similar demographic groups for the same type of service, for example comparison of household insurance by postcode. Further, means are provided to obtain recommendations and solicitations from alternative service providers based upon the former comparative data and other information held within the system.</p> |
