The method involves connecting a rod or plate resistance material (8'), e.g. made of resistance alloy, to a relatively better conducting material for low impedance connection points (4'-7'). The conductive material is rolled onto or into the resistance material by roller plating. The conductive material can be rolled onto or into both sides of the resistance material. Independent claims are also included for a measurement resistance manufactured in accordance with the inventive method.
