<p>A portable electronic apparatus which uses one small operation unit to zoom and scroll data, move a cursor and select an icon, and is excellent in operability. The portable electronic apparatus comprises a display unit, one operation unit and a control unit. The display unit displays transmitted information or stored information. The one operation unit is used to perform operations including moving a pointer displayed on the display unit, zooming and scrolling information displayed on the display unit, moving a cursor, and selecting an icon.
