<p>The invention relates to the use of poly(perfluoroalkylene)sulfonic acids for cataly-zing a reaction between carbonyl containing compounds and hydrazine or hydrazide reagents to form hydrazone derivatives. It also embraces a solid reagent for simultaneous enrichment and derivatization of compounds comprising one or more carbonyl groups to hydrazone derivatives, which solid reagent comprises poly(perfluoroalkylene)-sulfonic acids and a compound having hydrazine and/or hyd-razide functionalities. The poly(perfluoroalkylene)-sulfonic acids may be present on a carrier. A method for catalyzing derivatization of carbonyl containing compounds to hydrazone derivatives is also described.</p> |
