<p>A light source device comprises a phase modulator (132) which is disposed in an optical path from a light generation unit (160) to a wavelength conversion unit (163) and performs phase modulation for canceling at least a part of self phase modulation of the light propagated through the optical path. The phase modulator (132) performs the phase modulation according to the intensity of the light at each instant. As a result, the effect of the self phase modulation is suppressed, and an increase in the spectral width of the light incident on the wavelength conversion unit can be suppressed.</p> |
