A vehicle seat adjustment for the front seat of a two door vehicle includes a memory position control which is automatically set when the seat back is folded down onto the seat and before the sliding seat lock is released. The memory position control comprises a locking catch which grips a slotted track along the bottom of the support track for the sliding seat support. A spring loaded release pin engages the locking catch when the seat back is returned into the support position. A ramp on the locking catch enables the profiled end of the release pin to slide into position without snagging the release catch.
