To produce a commercial gas flow, at least two gases are fed into a mixing chamber, and develop a gas overflow fed to a buffer. A surplus gas flow is extracted. Temporary timed deviations in the commercial gas flow are compensated by complementary timed deviations in the surplus gas outflow. The mixing chamber has devices to adjust the commercial gas flow structure. To produce a commercial gas flow (1), at least two gases are fed into a mixing chamber (4) in volumes to be mixed and develop a gas overflow (3) fed to a buffer (17), which is equal to or larger than the commercial gas flow. A surplus gas flow (2) is extracted. Temporary timed deviations in the commercial gas flow are compensated by complementary timed deviations in the surplus gas outflow. The mixing chamber has a flow meter (5) to monitor the gas flows, and a control (6) to adjust the commercial gas flow structure.
