Three plate plastics injection molding tool, has a sprue channel extended to feed cavities on both parting planes and locking system which locks together the front two or the rear two plates. The three plate tool (2) has cavities on both parallel parting planes. A sprue channel (13) extends from the tool melt inlet point (14) to the first parting plane (9) and continues onto the second parting plane (10). Runner channels (15,16) run from the sprue channels into the molding cavities (11,12). A locking system is incorporated in the tool plates and operates between two positions. In the first position only the middle plate (5) and a front plate (4) including the melt inlet are locked together. In the second position only the middle and rear (6) plates are locked together. |
