A dry filter assembly, to separate dust and floating matter from industrial exhaust gases and dust-laden air in underground mining and tunneling, has a filter housing with filters divided into triangular sections. They are inserted into the housing and removed at the clean air side (25). The clean gas channel (4) is at the side, and the soiled air channel (3) is at the upper side and preferably at the upper cover. The separated dust and dirt is extracted from the filter assembly by a drag chain conveyor (20) with an extraction lock (21).
