This exhaust gas cleaner for diesel engines has a two part housing (1.1/1.2) containing at least one lamp black filter cartridge (10.1) and at least one catalytic converter cartridge (20.1) and a tube (2/3/4) to pass the exhaust gas through the cartridges (10.1/20.1) which are fitted into a partition (5) in the divide between the two parts of the housing. The housing (1.1/1.2) can be opened to make the cartridges (10.2/20.1) accessible.
