The invention relates to an information system and a method for eye-related provision of information and/or provision of information to be extracted in relation to the eye. The inventive information system comprises a signal detecting device used for detecting signals which are related to the eye and an output device for the provision of information in correlation with the detected eye-related signals. An information system comprising a projection system is disclosed which produces a light beam, which can be projected into the eye with reduced divergence, reduced convergence or in a related manner, whereby the light beam in the transition between the air and the cornea has an unsubstantial diameter when compared to the diameter of the pupil.
