The elastic ring seal (4), for a plug connector at a breathing apparatus, is inserted by sliding into a ring groove (3) at the fixed first component part (1) of the connection. A sealing lip (5) around the circumference of the sealing ring is aligned towards the second rotating component part (2) of the connection. The opposite side of the seal, towards the sliding surface, has a curved recess to form a lubricating chamber (10), with sealing lips (9) at the edges towards the sliding surface. The peripheral sealing lip is flanked by recesses (6), defined by outer edge lips (7).
