An auxiliary generating set has a drive shaft (1), a belt pulley (3) for driving the drive shaft (1) and a high-gear arranged between the drive shaft and the pulley (3). An annulus (6) is arranged coaxially to the pulley (3) and meshes with a coaxially arranged sun-wheel (7) via a planetary wheel (13). A free-wheel (9) arranged between the sun-wheel (7) and the drive shaft (1) decouples retardations transmitted by the pulley (3) from the drive shaft (1).
