Textile mill air filter has rotating suction drum from which man-made fibres removed transverse to direction of drum rotation

A textile machine spinning head feeds a spun thread past a strand suction extractor to a bobbin. The suction-extracted fibres accumulate on the outer surface of a rotating air filter drum with interior air suction. The accumulated threads are esp. lifted and removed transverse to the direction of drum rotation without interruption to drum rotation. The threads are lifted (12) by a scraper arm (20), suction arm (22) or internal blower (14). After removal from the drum the fibres and threads are either wound onto a spool or chopped up and collected for further use.
