PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocurable composition which decreases the problems with work environment, air pollution, etc., and gives a cured item excellent in its characteristics such as water resistance (boiling-water resistance), adhesiveness, reproducibility of fine lines after etching, and electrical properties; and its curing method. SOLUTION: This photocurable composition is an emulsion which is prepared by emulsifying a composition containing an acid-group-containing resin, a reactive prepolymer and/or a reactive monomer, and a photopolymerization initiator by using an emulsifier comprising a nonionic surfactant. In one embodiment, the reactive prepolymer is one having at least one ethylenic double bond and at least one acid group. The curing method of the photocurable composition comprises applying the composition and subjecting it to a light treatment and/or a heat treatment.
