PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy article moving tool which is free from any restriction in the horizontally moving direction and capable of avoiding any concentration of loads over the predetermined limit. SOLUTION: This heavy article moving tool comprises a tray-like receiving base 2 having a circular edge 4, a disk-like ball holder 6 which rotatably holds a plurality of balls 8 in a vertically protruded manner and is accommodated in the receiving base 2 in a horizontally movable manner, and a disk-like moving plate 10 which is placed on the ball holder 6 in a horizontally movable manner for placing a heavy article 12 to be moved. The edge 4 of the receiving base 2 is abutted on the ball holder 6 and the moving plate 10 to limit the movable range. Inequalities D1 >D2 >D3 and D1 <=(D2 +D3 /2) are satisfied where D1 is the inside diameter of the edge 4 of the receiving base 2, D2 is the outside diameter of the ball holder 6, and D3 is the outside diameter of the moving plate 10.
