PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve joint strength between a front pillar and a dash panel and prevent a welding quality from suffering an effect of fitting accuracy of the front pillar. SOLUTION: An inside wall part 16A in the car width direction of the front pillar 16 is provided with a shelf-like joint part 24 having a predetermined width W in the car width direction. The outside edge 10D in the car width direction of the dash panel 10 is continuously welded with the joint part 24 from the dash panel 10 side by one side welding such as laser welding. The joint part 24 of the front pillar 16 is formed in the vertical direction of a car body in an abutting part of the inside wall part 16A in the car width direction of the front pillar 16 on the outside edge 10D in the car width direction of the dash panel 10.
