PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermal recording material forming a developed color image on a white substrate, imparting high contrast and excellent in image preservability and erasability. SOLUTION: The reversible thermal recording material has a support and the thermal recording layer, which contains a colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a developer for reversibly developing and erasing the color of the dye precursor, formed on the support. The thermal recording layer contains at least one kind of an aromatic compound having at least one 8 or more C stright chain aliphatic group and at least one substituent represented by formula (1) in one molecule thereof as the developer. |
