PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a lens at a specific position about an imaging device. SOLUTION: The imaging surface of the imaging device placed on an imaging device fixed base 1 is picked up as image information by an image pickup optical system 2 and an image pickup device 3, the image information is processed by an image processing unit 4, and while an imaging surface image is displayed on an image display device 7 through a control unit 6, a position mark of the imaging surface is displayed to find the position of the imaging surface. As well as the imaging device, image information on the lens is picked up and a lens image is displayed on the image display device 7. Then the control unit 6 computes the position of the lens to be positioned about the imaging device from the position mark of the imaging surface and the position is displayed as a lens position mark on the image display device 7. The lens is moved to match the lens image with the position mark of the lens and thus the imaging device and lens are positioned. A setting means 5 sets the positions and sizes of the position mark of the imaging surface of the imaging device and the position mark of the lens.
